Accomplishments for the current period:

1. Met with Gloria Mariano, SIPI Talent Search Project Manager on 9/9/10 to share program information and activities. Dialogue involved future collaboration with workshops, shared website links, and student presentations.
2. Created a Google Doc with the names of shareholders invited to the Regional session in Grants. Also, visited Katie O’Conner at the NMSU-Grants Branch to finalize logistics with Regional session planned for 9/23/10.
3. Met with Pueblo of Acoma Higher Ed staff on 9/10/10, to update program information and activities. Collaborated on planning a workshop session involving  students applying for the Gates Millennium Scholarship. Date to be determined.
4. Posted new website bookmarks to the NMCP Delicious website.
5. Posted new student information to the NMCP Facebook Fan page.

Planned activities for the next period:

• Meeting with Mike Conant, Executive Director at Laguna Education Foundation, to discuss the “Hawks on the Horizons” initiative planned for Laguna-Acoma HS.
• Attend the Grants Cibola County School District Indian Parent Advisory Council meeting on 9/15/10 at Laguna-Acoma HS.

1. Participated in the weekly NMCP Staff meeting:  Skype meeting on 3/31/10 to discuss Regional Sessions and travel.  AC  meeting on 9/2/10 to Invitation list for Regional sessions.
2. Ask Tribal higher education directors on topic areas to address at the Regional Working Sessions
3. Contacted Tribal higher education directors and schools to invite to regional sessions

Planned activities for the next period:

• Compile innovation list for Regional Workshops
• Visit and meet with staff at Bernalillo High Schools to establish a working relationship
• Visit with Higher Education Directors from Zia, Santa Ana, Cochiti, San Felipe and Kewa

Accomplishments for the current period:

1. Participated in the NMSU-ABQ Operations staff meeting 8/24/10.
2. Participated in the NMCP Staff meeting on 8/26/10.  Agenda: Mentor updates, travel, strategic plan meeting and regional sessions location/dates planning.
3. Formulate a draft copy of a Memorandum of Understanding between NMCP and Laguna Education Foundation.
4. Posted new website bookmarks to the NMCP Delicious website.
5. Posted new student information to the NMCP Facebook Fan page.

Planned activities for the next period:

• Develop a spreadsheet with common routes for my planned travel throughout the rest of the year.
• Follow-up with communications to Mike Conant, Executive Director at Laguna Education Foundation, to discuss the “Hawks on the Horizons” initiative under development for Laguna-Acoma HS.
